First Half of Season Done
The first half of our season is completed with our record standing at 1-4-1. The more important thing is the fact that the kids are continually improving and playing better soccer each and every game. Now we are looking forward to the second half of the season and where we are going from here.
Everyone has now had a chance to play goalie for a half and the opportunity to play forward and defense at least once. The coaching staff is now going to continue to work on positions for the kids for the last practices and 5 games of the year, which means the kids will be learnig to play one position mainly. We love the improvement we have seen from our team and now would like to have them learning to play an individual position based on their ability and knowledge and continue to master the game of soccer. We will probably have 4 or 5 individuals playing goalie more often for the rest of the season as well.
The kids appear to be paying attention, listening and learning more and more each and every time out. We love seeing the continual improvement and effort that the kids are putting in game in and game out and we will keep working on this in practices and games. We hope everyone has had as much fun as us coaches during the first half of the season and we are looking forward to the remainder of the year.
