LMS Executive Members Needed
Submitted By Jeff Horton on Mon 05 08, 23
Executive help required before planning for the 2024 season.

We currently have over 450 kids registered for soccer this season, and

with this volume of of kids, we should be getting more involvement from the families participating.  This club like so many others are dependent on volunteers.

I would like the thank those that are volunteering to coach this year.  Without you, kids would not have teams to play on.

After the 2022 season we had 3 executives step down after multiple years of service.  I personally would like to thank them for their years of service, Scott, Jeanette and Matt.
Scott and Jeanette both, were long time members of the executive and each saw there kids age out of our league.  Matt after many years with us, just recently moved, but expect to see him now on the opposing side of the pitch.  I wish everyone well.

We have two others stepping down at the end of this season after many years.

I too will be stepping down at the end of this year after 18+ years.  I was the club and league president for 16 of those years as well as holding other positions on both executives.  But this is not about me.

It is now about moving forward and ensuring that we have people to continue what was started back in 1977.

We have a really good core group of people, who love the game of soccer, currently on the executive.  There are many ways to continue to grow this game in Listowel, but they can not do all this on there own.  As the club grows, as this community grows, more help is needed.

We are mandating that before the end of this season that we have at least 12 people on the LMS executive ready to work on the 2024 season.

Failure to do this could result in no 2024 season.

Your past executive members have worked very hard over the year to build this program, and they do not want to see this happen.

So please do not hesitate or wait until it is too late.  Please contact us ASAP to find out more.
